My name is Alexander Gahr and I was born on September 9, 1980 in Detmold, Germany.
Studies
Presently, I am studying a doctorate at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
From 2004 to 2008 I studied in Spain Translation and Interpreting at the University of Málaga for Spanish, French, German, Modern Greek.
I studied my last academic year at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria where I live now.
In 2007, I spent a semester as an Erasmus student at the Ionian University in Corfu (Greece).
In 2006, I completed the course Teaching Spanish as foreign language at the University of Málaga.
In September 2008, I attended the international symposium “Cities – Languages – Cultures“, which was organized by the Goethe-Institut, the Institute for the German Language (IDS) and the Duden editorial in Mannheim, Germany.
Professional experience

- In March of 2011, I appeared in the news of Canary Island TV in a reportage about German students in Gran Canaria.

- I have also translated texts concerning domains such as work risk-prevention (for Previsegur), contracts and a part of a BOE (for Polinter, langXpress and Vasold & Mayer), about art (by Stefan von Reiswitz), music, newspaper articles and curricula vitae.
